5 Great Tips to Handle Stress

5 Great Tips to Handle Stress:

Stress has become a major issue in the world today. It costs our society billions of dollars every year and people are living with it, feeling it, and trying to avoid it. However, many individuals are still not aware on how to handle stress. In this blog post I'm going explore five things that you can do every day in order to prevent yourself from stressing out and becoming burdened by anxiety.

The first and most important thing that you can do to relieve stress is to take 10 minutes to meditate and pray. This not only allows you to have a moment of solace, but it also allows you to clear your mind of all the clutter that has been introduced into it over the course of the day. When you take this time out everyday, your mind will be ready for anything that is thrown at it.

Secondly, you should eat a healthy meal before going to bed. Most people go right to their favorite TV show or stay up on their phone and spend hours looking at all their social media feeds when they first get into bed. Studies have shown that this is not a good idea at all. It boosts your blood sugar into the high range and leaves you with a bunch of stimulation. This makes it hard to fall asleep and even harder to get up in the morning to start your day off right. Make sure that you eat something healthy and try to limit the amount of artificial sugars or fats that you consume before going to bed every night.

Third, exercise regularly, but do not over exert yourself. If you are trying to lose weight then I suggest working out for about 30 minutes each morning, but if you just want to stay fit then about 15 minutes will be fine for the day. Remember that exercise releases endorphins in your brain which can relieve stress and help you fall asleep easier.

Fourth, eliminate all electronic devices from your bedroom. If you have a television in your bedroom, then remove it and put an alarm on the television so that when it turns off at night, you will wake up. I suggest doing the same thing with other electrical items that are found in your bedroom such as cell phones, laptops and tablets. If there are none of these in your bedroom and you still can't sleep then take them out of your room altogether and put them on some timer to shut them off each day.

Fifth is to practice deep breathing every day. This helps to relieve stress and allows you to keep your focus on what's in front of you. I suggest practicing some deep breathing exercises during the day when you feel that you are ready to lose your cool over something. It can really help at those times and make a huge difference in how you carry yourself throughout the day.

Stress is a part of life that we all must live with. However, there are many things that we can do to control it. These five tips will help you relieve stress and keep yourself focused on your goals for each day so that you can live stress-free.
